Camping Pods
A camping pod is a rather well built, insulated wooden hut that provides basic accommodation much in the way of a tent. They are of a modest size with good headroom, an interior floor area some eight feet wide by nine feet long and a forward projecting porch to provide some shelter if the doors are open. A raised area of timber decking extending the 'living area' and providing somewhere to sun-bathe, prepare food or when the weather is bad, lose the wet gear before going inside.
Some of the benefits of the pods include:
Already set up when you get there - just move in No taking down wet tents and drying before storing None of the adverse effects of driving rain and wetness No wind whip or flapping to keep you awake More privacy and security All the benefits of an insulated structure in winter and summer Option of having heat, light and other electrical devices They are all the same - you can carry your own POD kit and enjoy A massive hit with kids - it's a 'den' thing Possibly best of all - affordable accommodation in a great location.
Caravan Park
Our toilet facility is a tumble-brick building with flower filled troughs outside, of course! Very important are the spacious fully tiled shower cubicles with lots of room to get showered and dressed without getting squashed! We have a toilet especially for the less able with wheelchair access. In the ladies that must have hairdryer, essential wash hand basins and copious amounts of hot water; of course the gents have that too. We pride ourselves in the cleanliness of our facilities.
You will have a choice of spacious grass or hard-standing pitches, mostly level, but some with a slight slope so bring some levellers just in case! The caravan area is lit in the evening so you wont be groping around in the dark! An added bonus for Motor-home users, there is a bus service just outside the park entrance for those wishing to leave their vehicles to visit Banbury or local villages. For the outdoor enthusiasts we have a lovely well mown area just for tents which is situated close to the toilets, comforting to know during the night! A washing-up area is also provided for campers. We welcome well behaved dogs but they must be on a lead at all times. We have a dog run for the usual requirements etc. There are many places to take the dog for a long leisurely walk and enjoy the surrounding countryside.
