Stephanie and Derek manage the cottage lets with the help of their three children, Samantha (Sam), Michael (Mike) and Jonathan (Jon). Originally the whole farm belonged to Stephanies father Colin Shaw. He retired from farming in 1999 and sold most of the farm land, which continues to be farmed by a neighbouring farmer.
The start of the stable and hay loft conversions took place in 1990 with Bulrush and Lily cottage. Hazel and Bramble cottages were developed a couple of years later. The latest two to be included are Laburnum from the milking parlour and Barley from the original farm workers cottage with a piece of the hay loft added.
Stephanie also runs a physiotherapy practice from the farmhouse, so be sure to let her know if you are suffering from any ailments!
Irelands farm is truly an island within the Warwickshire countryside. It is an idyllic place to unwind and relax.
