Thatched cottages and mellow country towns nestling in a beautiful rural landscape, impressive stately homes and historic landmarks – discover all the charms of this very English county when you stay at Hoseasons country lodges in Oxfordshire. Outstandingly lovely scenery creates the perfect backdrop for walking and cycling. The Vale of the White Horse, stretching from Oxford to the Cotswolds, encompasses the ancient Ridgeway track and its most notable site, the mysterious Bronze Age figure of a White Horse carved into the chalk hillside.

City of dreaming spires and Inspector Morse – no stay at our holiday lodges in Oxfordshire would be complete without a visit to Oxford itself. Wander round the famous colleges, explore the fascinating exhibits at the Ashmolean Museum, take a relaxing trip on the river and admire some of the city’s landmark historic buildings, or just indulge yourself with excellent shopping and fine dining.

The pretty Cotswold towns of Burford and Chipping Norton are among many other places of interest you can explore on lodge holidays in Oxfordshire. And be sure to visit Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Winston Churchill and a masterpiece of baroque architecture – its spectacular lodgeland was landscaped by Capability Brown.

“Relaxing weekend”
4 of 5 stars
My wife and I have just returned from a 3 night break where we stayed in the Kingham Lodge Plus. This was our second time at Bluewood and on both times we have stayed in the same lodge - not planned, either! Bluewood is ideally placed for exploring the Cotswolds with so many idyllic villages dotted around within 30 minutes...

“Wow”

We stayed in the Valentine Lodge for 3 nights at the beginning of January and we cannot fault it at all. Despite the worst storms with torrential rain for many years it certainly didn't stop us from having a lovely weekend away. The sauna and hot tub were a wonderful luxury to use for a few days. A must for...

“Excellent stay”

Excellent stay. The lodges are in a very quiet, nice setting, in which you dont feel too enclosed/ penned in. The lodge was of a good standard- very comfortable and spacious, with everything working and well presented. The hot tub was a great addition and very nice to use on an evening. Cold time of year, so good to see...

“Fab Break”

This was our 2nd visit to Bluewood Lodges and yet again what a fantastic place. Lovely lodges, very well equipped. Hot tub and sauna were fantastic. Beautiful place, very highly recommended. Staff were great. The addition of the cafe serving breakfast, lunch and takeaway pizza is great. Visits to Stow on the Wold, Chipping Campden, Moreton in Marsh a must....

“Lovely New Years break with family”
4 of 5 stars
We stayed for a new year break with family in 2 Kingham plus lodges. Lovely and comfortable lodges very clean, well presented. Hot tub was fabulous although the hot tub in lodge no 8 was very exposed to the elements as there wasn't a great deal of closed in fencing to shield us from the winds. But found it less...
